Cyclophilin g
WebOct 1, 2024 · Cyclophilin A (CypA), a peptidylprolyl cis - trans isomerase, is a ubiquitous and multifunctional protein. In addition to its role as a host-cell receptor for cyclosporine A, CypA has diverse functions in inflammatory conditions and diseases. Webacteristics of necrosis (e.g. loss of membrane integrity, energy independence) and therefore was termed programmed necrosis (Golstein & Kroemer, 2007). Programmed necrosis can be blocked by the specific cyclophilin inhibitor cyclosporin A (CSA) emphasizing the involvement of CYPD and mPTP in this type of PCD (Zong & Thompson, 2006).
